I submitted artwork to or showed artwork in a previous Ikouii Open. Can I submit again this year?

How should I present my 2D and 3D work?

Please send us clear, high-resolution, professional photographs of the work. If the work is selected, we will use these same images for the exhibition. When photographing your work you should make sure you have aligned the camera straight on and that the artwork is well-lit, as to show it as accurately as possible. Avoid using camera flash, take photographs of the work on a plain white background, and allow the work to fill the image. Please title images with your name and the name of the work.

I’m a dancer/performer, can I participate?

Absolutely! We accept all forms of art. Please send us either a link or upload it into the submission form.

Do I have to write anything or explain my work?

Yes, in the submission form you will include your bio, artist statement, as well as a description of work. We suggest you write about yourself and your work in third person (your name / “the artist(s)” / “he/she/they”, rather than “I” and “me”) so we understand what you do and can present your work properly.

Do I have to pay to apply for the Ikouii Open?

Can I sell my work at the Ikouii Open?
